The session focused on a key issue facing humanity – how can economic aspirations be met in ways that are socially equitable and environmentally sustainable? How can economies be “greened” so they reduce poverty, tackle climate change, and provide economic opportunities that will last? What leadership is required? How can we better share information on green economy initiatives and opportunities? What role for technology and what technological innovations are emerging?
