Training Opportunities

Funding to develop LEAD Canada's 2007 and 2008 programs has been generously provided by both HSBC Bank and LEAD International. LEAD's training programs are designed to foster skills needed to deal with the challenges of global and local sustainability.

In Fall of 2007, LEAD Canada re-launched its 'cohort training' program, in line with that of LEAD International.  Since then, over 30 mid-career professionals, from a range of professional background and who share a belief in the need to foster sustainability at all levels of society, began their LEAD training.

For those who are accepted into the program, there is the requirement of two 5-day, residential training sessions within Canada, as well as one 5-day residential program that is organized by LEAD International.  The International session normally requires Canadians to travel to other parts of the world for the training.  In 2007, the international session was held in Indonesia, while the 2008 session was held in Mexico City.
